When you are choosing some ramps for skateboarding, BMX, scooter, or RC fun the first decision you will need to make is do you want to buy some ramps or building some wood ramps. Maybe you want to do both for even more excitement and fun. We understand that many people involved in any or all of these activities would want to build some ramps. If you know how to build stuff and have plenty of materials and space you can do this.
Wood ramps for all that they bring also have some pretty big disadvantages:
- Know-How – You need to know how to build them and not everyone has that skill or can easily learn it.
- Materials – You will need wood and building supplies to do this, which some people have, but some don’t.
- Space – This is a big one. Wood ramps can be heavy and large. They may not be easy to move or store.
- Durability – Wood will rot and will fall apart over time. They require ongoing maintenance to keep them in prime condition.
Now, if you can overcome these obstacles you can always build *some* wood ramps and combine them with the LandWave ramp to create even more fun and challenges. It shouldn’t be a choice of one over the other. You can have both. If you only have room for one the LandWave Ramp has a lot of advantages.
You don’t need to take our word for it. Listen to Pro Skater Doug Brown talk about why he loves LandWave Ramps…
